Viet Nam is the the world’s largest producer of robusta coffee and black pepper. Yet, the Central Highlands remains the second-poorest region in Viet Nam. Also, ineffective agricultural management involving the misuse and overuse of mineral fertilizers, irrigation water and synthetic pesticides… has resulted in Central Highlands being one of the most degraded areasIn this context, World Agroforestry (ICRAF) Viet Nam along with international and Vietnamese research partners, provincial stakeholders, national authorities and the private sector have a vision of contributing to food safety, inclusiveness and reducing poverty among smallholders while managing natural resources and producing food more sustainably.
