Soybean certification and tropical deforestation in Brazil: how to move towards zero-net deforestation
Brazilian soybean production is part of the complex global system of agricultural land use. Even though soybean production is not the most important direct driver of deforestation, some studies suggest that soy bean expansion indirectly contributes to the conversion of Amazon forest into cattle pastures.
