Quality Planting Material through Good Nursery Management: Key for Successful Ecological and Economic Ecosystem of Agroforestry

This document is designed to provide comprehensive guidelines for the production and management of quality planting materials for the benefit of farmers, nursery operators, agricultural extension agents, and other stakeholders. It explores the significance of using Quality Planting Material (QPM) for successful agroforestry practices and focuses an the pivotal role of nurseries in producing the necessary QPM. Using QPM improves the chances of the growth of uniform, healthy, and disease-free plants. Nurseries run by trained knowledgeable staff and equipped with standardized designs play a central role in nurturing plants until they are ready for transplantation. This document also delves into effective nursery management practices.
