Management of Damar trees Shorea javanica to prevent damage caused by longhorn beetles (Coleoptera Cerambycidae) in Sumatra

The aim of this study is to collect data on the management of the Damar Tree (Shorea javanica) in Damar gardens (agroforests) and to study the insect damage caused by loghorn beetles on the damr tree in west Lampung, Sumatra, Indonesia. The results are used to suggest recommendations on the control and management of the damage. The methods used involve tree analysis, insect trapping, plot measurements and interviews.
