ICRAF’s Southeast Asia Programme: alleviating tropical deforestation and rural poverty through improved agroforestry systems
Briefly describes ICRAF and its core programme in Southeast Asia. The core activities will focus mainly on multipurpose tree improvement and management, component interaction, systems improvement; policy, adoption and impact analysis as well as training and information. Also describes the role of ICRAF’s Southeast Asia coordination office, and establishes a priority ecosystem – the humid uplands, in which to implement the core programme.
